St. Nicholas' Fortress

St Nicholas’ Fortress is a unique monument of the world’s architectural heritage and in 2017 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World heritage List as part of the nomination ''Venetian Works of Defence between the 16th and 17th Centuries''.

The tour begins at the Šibenik waterfront according to the predetermined boat schedule and timetable, from a berth called Krka to St Nicholas’ Fortress. Visitors are guided by a tour escort and provided with multilingual multimedia guides that enable them to get information on a particular site at several designated points.

Visitor center

The visitor centre St Anthony’s Channel is the central location for the presentation of the biodiversity, natural and cultural values of the protected areas of the Šibenik-Knin County, intended for providing information and education for visitors. The content of the exhibition comprises a series of multimedia interactive displays of flora and fauna, particularly the undersea world, which enables visitors, with the help of virtual reality devices, to experience the natural and cultural values.
